Sunset Beach, North Carolina

The girls had a wonderful week at the beach. The weather was great - warm, but not too humid. The water was perfect - not too cold and lots of waves to ride. Both Peyton and Kali had a great time on their boogie boards. Kali even tried her hand at skim boarding. Of course, there was lots of sand castles and hole diggin'.

Sunset Beach is on the border of North and South Carolina, just north of Myrtle Beach. It was quiet and calm, although we did venture into Myrtle Beach for a couple of meals. The kids thought the best thing about Sunset was the crab hunting at night. They both got the hang of it pretty quickly. Those little jokers are fast!!!

Peyton did a great job navigating the waves. She is a serious beach bum. Even Kali seemed to get pretty comfortable with the sun, sand and surf on this trip. They both got the "St. Tropez" tan.

An evening of shopping in Myrtle Beach was full of excitement - but,the crowd was a bit much for us. We seemed to be getting accustomed to the slow pace of Sunset Beach.

Peyton on her boogie board and with a "crabby" friend.

We went on vacation with our friends, the Schonover's. Here are the kids, full of love for one another.

Peyton's surfing U.S.A. and in true Peyton fashion - she's drinking the Atlantic sea water, yuck!!!
