All I want for Christmas......

.... is happy little girls! And I got exactly that! After a crazy week of work and holiday preparation, we were able to sit back and enjoy the fruits of my labor. Christmas Eve was spent at Aunt Marie and Uncle Tom's. We dined on king crab and shrimp, opened wonderful gifts and relished the love of family. The girls were so happy to present their great grandma with what they considered to be the best gift ever ~ a giant Whitman's Sampler. She was so excited. The girls were thrilled with all their treasures and could barely contain their excitement as they got ready for Santa's arrival with the annual reading of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. Christmas morning was full of love and laughter and all of their hearts desires waiting under the tree! The house smelled of cinnamon rolls and coffee and Kali's newest fragrance "Sweet & Flirty" from VS. I was so grateful that my oldest goes to one of the top ranked middle schools in Ohio with the master artists of the future when I opened my gift from her. A necklace made by students that was actually lovely and not crafted from macaroni!?!? After a mid-morning nap, everyone lended a hand and we got lunch on the table in record time and it was delicious! If that wasn't amazing enough, Peyton got the ultimate gift from Auntie Kelly, Uncle Joe and Grandpa Klir ~ Pipsqueak the hamster! He arrived with an Xtreme cage and all the trappings. We were all blessed on this Christmas and look forward to a new year full of health, happiness and new beginnings.

Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la

Well, the books for the girls Countdown to Christmas Baskets are wrapped and they are looking forward to reading their holiday favorites. Peyton wanted to show "everyone" her Lego League poster before we dismantled it. She is missing her after school building time so I put a lego table in her room. The Cool Connectors won an education award for their efforts, Lego League was a great experience for everyone involved.

We are enjoying the 1st snow day of the school year today..... The weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful!!!!! Let it snow!!! Until about Wednesday, Kali has big performances at the end of the week.

Do they know it's Christmas time at all?

You betcha! The girls are gathering momentum for the holiday season! Peyton's Thanksgiving Feast was great, Lego League is over (The Cool Connectors won an education award), Kali's Show Choir schedule is packed, the tree is up and there's plenty of snow on the ground. Yep, it's December all right. I'm busy with my new job, baking cookies and driving 'Miss Daisy'. I can't believe only 3 weeks to go!!!!! I better get my butt in gear!!!! The good news is that Peyton made my gift giving a little easier this Christmas..... She got her ears pierced!!!!
