Peyton's Busy Week
This past week, Peyton was hopping. She had open house at her preschool. Might I add, she did a stellar job singing her heart out. Let's just say I'd be happy if I never heard "God Bless America" again !?! She was the "bat" in her 2 Halloween songs. What a cheeseball - it must be in the genes! Then she earned her Hiking Spree hiking stick and attended Kinderealm where she learned all about how the local animals get through the winter and she fed the chickadees. Add that to pumpkin carving and her sister's bowling party - I'm pretty sure she will sleep well tonight!!!!
Kali's Double Digit Milestone
Well, it's official - Kali Marie is 10 years old!!! I can't believe it's been a decade since she made her debut. I know it sounds cliche, but time sure does fly when you're having fun. It is truly a good time watching her grow. We celebrated this year with an "extreme" bowling party - think lights outs, lasers flashing, loud music, glow in the dark balls - it was a blast! All the kids bowled well. Kali finished 2nd with a very respectable 110. It was an "extremely" good time!

Old McKali went to the farm....
Kali and I went to a pumpkin and potato farm this week on a field trip. Despite the rain, we had a great time. Kali picked out two pumpkins to add to our growing collection and two freshly dug potatoes. Her favorite part of the day involved a potato sling shot. We learned all about life on a potato farm and we even sampled freshly made potato chips - yummy! She is really enjoying the 4th grade.
Sister Time at Great Wolf Lodge
The Oliver girls spent a lovely Thursday night at Great Wolf Lodge to celebrate Kali's 10th birthday. Our resident "runway diva" and "cheetah" did a little trick-or-treating and alot of swimming. Peyton is finally tall enough to ride all the slides! It was a great time for some sister bonding. On Friday, we went to Port Clinton for spaghetti at Phil's, candy from the Cheesehaven (!?!?!) and pumpkins from Bergman's farm. The autumn is in full swing and we are trying to make the most of every minute.

Pumpkin Pandemonium
We have been enjoying the Indian Summer and all that goes with it. Pumpkins, corn mazes and apple cider. Kali and Peyton had a great time exploring the farms down in the valley. They each picked out the "perfect" pumpkin and can't wait to get carving. I can't wait to roast pumpkin seeds. All things pumpkin - yummy.

This was a Real Fine Clambake
The family clambake we had to celebrate my Grandma's 91st birthday was a huge success. Kelly, her dad and my dad did a wonderful job. The bake was delicious. Peyton ate her way through 4 dozen clams!!!! I had none - what we won't do for our kids!!!! I'm pretty sure this will become an annual shindig. My brother even joined in the festivities! Family fun at it's best.
